I affectionately call "Big Cock Restaurant" because of the big statue of a rooster out front. One of my favorite restaurants. Their specialty is grilled chicken which I like to eat with sticky rice and som tam. They also offer grilled fish and a few other great dishes. Very good and the prices are reasonable. There is an open-air covered area and also an air-con room. The choice is yours.

Sam Chai Gai Yang Restaurant is located on Palochai Rd, past the prison on the right hand side. Just look for the large rooster statue. Happy Eating.

Jumpahom Restaurant

Jum Pa Home Restaurant is a nice place. It has a big airconditioned room for dining or you can eat outside in a romantic garden setting. The staff seem very pleasant and efficient. A good variety on the menu of mostly Thai but also a few western dishes. Prices are in the medium range. After you finish your dinner, there is a bakery on the grounds as well. You can enjoy a coffee and some nice desert. Well worth spending an evening there.

A good medium prices restaurant. It has a wide selection of Thai dishes and a small selection of western dishes, including steaks. Most anything you want to drink is also available.

This mainly open-air restaurant is good for lunch or dinner. You can dine alone or with a group. The eating areas are covered and there is an air-conditioned room available.

Ban Klang Soi Restaurant is located on Soi 15 Su-Kha-Up-pa-tam Rd, halfway down the soi on the right hand side. Look for the sign. It is in a residential neighborhood and there is some parking available but most customers just park on the street.

Soi 9 Restaurant, so named because it is located on Su-kha-up-pa-tam Rd, Soi 9. This restarant offers a good selections of Thai and Isaan dishes. The area is a garden-like setting and has tables outside as well as rooms for private parties. A good place to enjoy a quiet lunch or dinner. The prices here are also in the middle range. Well worth trying it out at least once.

If you drive there you will find a separate parkeing area available across from the restaurant.

Smile Restaurant is located on Sri Narong Rd just past the Provincial Office compound. It is on the right hand side. It is open from 5PM til 11PM so is only available for dinners.

The menu is mainly Thai dishes but there is a few western dishes for your dining pleasure. This is the only place I know in Ubon that offers ribs. Tony Roma's it's not but there are good.

There is open air seating outside on a deck or you can dine in the air conditioned room. There is accoustic music later in the evening to enjoy while you are eating and socializing. The entrance is small so you need to keep a sharp eye out for it. There is parking available on the premises. Check it out for dinner sometime.
