There is a wide variety and large selection of Ubon Ratchathani hotels. What you find here is comparable to Thailand hotels you will find throughout the country. Usually there are rooms available in Ubon but during the Candle Festival is the exception. This is a popular destination during the popular Thai festival.
Besides Ubon hotels I will also include other forms of lodging. You can get an air room in a guesthouse or mansion for as little as $10 US per night, up to suites with a rate of over $100 US per night. There are rooms to meet every budget and every need. I have heard of you come upon hard times you can find a place to sleep for free in a Thai Buddhist Temple.
Mansions here in Thailand are not big estates, they are basically a building full of studio apartments. Most are furnished and can be rented by the day, week or month. Some mansions include cable tv, housekeeping and laundry. Manisons are a good alternative to staying in a hotel. Ubon has a wide selection of apartments in a wide price range.
